Foreword from Principal

We are committed to excellence in offering the very best service to our students, ensuring that teaching and learning is the core of what we do. We recognize that today’s competitive world seeks students with a global entrepreneurial spirit. There is tremendous pressure to achieve the very best examination results possible and at Karangturi International School (KIS) we not only concentrate on what students learn but also how they learn. Our school curriculum integrates both international and national standards and students are provided opportunities to participate in Cambridge International Examinations as well as Indonesian National Exams.

For students joining us from the Indonesian national system, our full immersion programme offers sheltered programme support as they acquire the necessary language skills for success in a global environment. Not only are our students well-prepared and equipped to face the many challenges of global learning, they are encouraged to develop their social skills, written and verbal communication abilities, problem-solving skills and leadership capabilities. Their many successes are celebrated at KIS and their confidence grows. At KIS we seek to develop the many skills and attributes that make business and community leaders of tomorrow stand out from the rest.

Without doubt, the most important factor in achieving our aims is our teaching staff. The staff at KIS is selected with this in mind and provided continuous professional development. All our teachers are well-qualified with varying levels of experience. All members of staff are dedicated, hard-working and are full of ambition for the success of their students and the school. They all give freely of their time to provide a range of extra-curricular activities, as well as extra help for those who might need a boost to their classroom work.
